Darkroom Door Photo Stamps...

Hello,

As promised in my previous Darkroom Door Stamps blog, following are some more cards I have created using Stamps from Darkroom Door.  All three backgrounds were again created using Distress Oxide inks in various colours, stamped with the Darkroom Door Image, and layered onto a couple of layers of coloured cardstock.

This first card features DDPS006 Old Truck...

DDCS018 Steam Locomotive...

And finally DDPS034 Homestead...

A pen ruled border, brads and paper slides complete each card.

I have also purchased DDPS003 Country Cottage which is another fantastic Photo Stamp from Darkroom Doors range, which I am yet to feature on a card.

Hope to see you again soon,

Milestone Anniversary Cards

Good morning,

We have here a selection of milestone Anniversary cards.
They have been created using a variety of products and techniques, and in differing sizes and styles.

White card base, copper foil layer, sentiment stamped onto white card which was then partially embossed. Tim Holtz wildflowers die cut and covered with gilding flakes, copper trim and pearls to finish.

Silverey grey base, gold card, patterned paper, gold card, embossed white card layer. Shading with distress inks and edges distressed. The 20th and the flourish are die cut from pearl card. The sentiment  stamped on to white card, and a white die cut flower, were shaded with ink, and added to the card, along with a sentiment frame and a strip die cut from gold foil card. A seam binding bow and a heart brad, diamond shaped gems and stickles glitter glue were added.

This gatefold card has an ivory base card. All surfaces are covered with shaded and distressed patterned papers. The dragonflies and the 30th are die cut from glittered card and added to acetate to form the front layer. A stamped, embossed and punched label was added along with gems to complete.

This card has a white shimmer card base. The white top layer had the sentiment and the intricate corner section die cut from it, and was then partially embossed, and matted on to red foil card. This was wrapped with spotted sheer white ribbon threaded through a rhinestone slide, then added to the card base. White, shimmer card, die cut butterflies with gemstone bodies were added, and  pearls to the  corners. The sentiment was highlighted with stickles.

A special card for a special occasion.

Perhaps you have some special occasions coming up.

Darkroom Door Bold Blossoms...

Hello,

Todays' beautiful cards feature a stamp set from Darkroom Door - Bold Blossoms. I created all three backgrounds using white cardstock and Tim Holtz's Ranger Distress Oxide inks.

Next, I stamped the images, first in black ink and then followed by versamark ink which I heat embossed with gold embossing powder.

After adding a sentiment (also from the Darkroom Door Bold Blossoms set), I layered each white panel onto a black cardstock layer and adhered these to white card bases.

Lastly, I added gold rhinestones across the top and bottom of each card and added more rhinestone accents throughout the flower images and background.

Darkroom Door have a great selection of rubber stamps and stencils, I have a few in my collection! I will feature some more of their sets in an upcoming blog...

Thank you for stopping by,
Enjoy life,

Myths & Magic - Stampin'up

Hello

Here are a couple of ideas for kids cards, featuring stamps, dies and papers from Stampin'up Myths and Magic set.

For the first card, the cloud paper was added to the card front, then a second torn paper layered to the lower section, and a strip of washi tape added. A scalloped oval was die cut from purple star paper and tucked behind the edge of the torn piece. A stamped and coloured dragon and a knight were added. The castle is cut from patterned paper. Sentiment labels were stamped and die cut and added, and rhinestones finished off.
The second card uses the negative piece from which the purple star oval was cut, with a glitter card frame behind the aperture. Stars were stamped on to the card base in the oval area. The wizard is stamped, coloured and die cut.

Mermaids and seahorses were stamped, coloured and die cut, then layered over die cut ovals onto a paper covered card base. Flourishes are die cut from glitter card. Rhinestones added to finish off.
Stickles glitter glue and glossy accents were used to highlight some areas.

More cards for Mum

Good morning

Here are a few more ideas for cards for Mum. As they do not have a specific greeting on them, they can be used for Mother's day, birthday, or just because.

These cards are quite simple to make, as they are just layers of pretty papers and card, to which I have added stamping, die cuts, flourishes and ribbon and flowers. Sparkle was added with Stickles glitter glue, Wink of Stella pens, Liquid pearls, rhinestones and pearls.

I hope you enjoy these cards and find them inspiring for your own ideas.
