Ornaments

Hello

Today I am sharing with you some Christmas decorations I created.

This first is a little lantern for the table or shelf. It is simply a box and lid with added side panels of acetate taped to corner sections of card, and panels added to the top and base. The lid is decorated with paper and a die cut poinsettia and leaves, and the side panels with stickers coloured with glaze pen. An internal base with a die cut circle stops the tea light from sliding round. Glitter glue adds sparkle.

This forest of trees is based on styrofoam cones and is covered in rows paper strips. The star toppers are each four die cut stars glued together with a toothpick in the centre. Glitter glue edges all paper strips and the stars.

Finally, we have a little lantern for the tree. For this I used a strip of card, scored and with both ends punched with a Stampin'up  scalloped tag topper punch.  I added panels for the sides. The windows are die cut with an ornament die used upside down and are covered with gold foiled vellum. Edges are inked with white craft ink. The Merry Christmas is stamped and embossed in white. A ribbon bow and a cord hanging loop, and glitter glue round the windows, finish off the design.
Enjoy
