Fashion-Etcetera DSP
Hello again
I was going through my paper drawer the other day, and realised I haven't yet shared anything using this paper pack.
The card base is natural ivory. The first paper layer is the pattern sheet and the next is the corset. I have cut 4 strips from the tape measure sheet, snipped the ends and stapled them together at different lengths, then taped to the top right corner.
Two adv. panels were cut and fixed to the card using tape and dimensionals. Tiny clips were attached  to these.
The sentiment is by Whimsy stamps and is embossed with Aged aqua enamel. Two pearls are added to the top left corner.

As you may have realised by now, I always add an insert as I feel it gives a much more professional finish.
This one is from Happy day stamp set and is in crumb cake ink.

Creating with BaRb-Stampin'up-Thoughts & Prayers

Thoughts & Prayers
Hello
A Sympathy card today. Something we would like to never need.
This card is in Whisper white and smokey slate.
The front panel is embossed in clouds folder, and has slate chevron ribbon, fastened with a glimmer brad wrapped across the lower section. This panel is taped to the card front.
The image and sentiment are stamped with versamark and embossed with smokey slate powder. This is then die cut with an oval and paper pierced, and matted (offset) onto a same sized oval in slate.
This is then attached to the card with dimensionals.
Tiny pearls are added to the flower centres
The insert uses the same stamp set and slate ink.

Birdhouse cards

Hello
A couple of sweet cards today.  Lovely for Mum or that other special girl in your life.

This card front is embossed with a Darice folder and sanded back.
Stamps from Stampin'up and Kaszazz have been used on the clouds and for the birdhouse and coloured with watercolour pencils and stardust pens.
The clouds are die cut using a die from Joy crafts, and the grass and yellow bird are from a die by Marianne designs.
The fence, sunflowers and butterfly are stickers.

The sentiment is from JustRite stampers, and the tree image is by Judikins.

This card also is embossed with a Darice folder and sanded back.
The Victorian birdhouse is Cottage Cutz die, and the arched frame is Tim Holtz by Sizzix.
I taped acetate to the back of the arch and then added the birdhouse panel.
The bird and butterfly are brads, and the daisies are dimensional stickers.

All stamped images on both the front of the card, and the insert are from JustRite Stampers.

A couple of really sweet cards. I hope you agree.
Thank you for visiting and until next time

Creating with BaRb-Stampin'up-Celebrate Today-Wedding card

Celebrate Today-Wedding card
Good Morning
A rather special wedding card today
It is a square card in whisper white. I have cut a square aperture in the centre and then embossed the front in the dots folder, and rounded the top right corner.
I then diecut a lacey square (Spellinders) and cut it into a frame using the same sized die as the aperture. This frame was then embossed in the dots folder and sprayed with perfect pearl mist. A square of the printed acetate from Quatrefancy paper pack was then taped to the back of the frame and it was then attached with dimensionals to the front of the card.
Inside the card. A smaller card was made to open from the left and to fit behind the aperture. A lacey square was cut from Watercolour wonder paper, stamped with a sentiment from Perfectly penned and embossed in pewter powder. The edges of the square were paper pricked.
An insert was made for this card using stamps from Loving thoughts, warmth & wonder and mosiac madness, using smokey slate ink.
This small card was then taped centrally to the card, behind the aperture.
The card was then finished with 3 small paper roses tied with satin ribbon, and 3 small pearls either side
of this mini bouquet.
A special card for a special couple.
I hope you like it.

Creating with BaRb-Stampin'up-Scalloped tag punch

Scalloped tag punch
Hello
I was playing around with this new punch the other day and came up with this idea
The card is gatefold style, and the colours are coral, pear and white.
The closure is card punched both ends with scalloped tag punch, embossed in dots folder and then cut in two. The longer piece was scored and taped to the right side of the folded card base. The other section is taped to the left side  at the same level. The front and all the inside panels were then covered in patterned paper. An older design from my stash.
The butterfly is stamped and die cut using Backyard basics. The butterfly was done twice, once in coral and then in white, and layered together, then attached.

Wildflower meadow was stamped in coral, die cut into an oval and then matted on to a die cut pear scalloped oval. This was then attached to the centre panel.
The tag is tied with a bow to close the card.
The flowers were outlined with a stardust pen, tiny paper daisies attached to the larger flower centre, and small rhinestones to the smaller flowers and the butterfly body.
With the remaining small amount of card and paper I made this tag.
The back of the tag has a stamped sentiment.
I hope you have enjoyed your visit. Please drop by again.
Till next time- Keep happy crafting

Make It Crafty - Cynthia Birthday Card

Morning

Pearls and flowers - what a beautiful combination.  Today's 60s Fashion Girl is Cynthia - she loves her pearls and flowers so much that she has plaited them through her beautiful long hair...

Once again (if you have been following my quick and easy girly cards) I have stamped, black embossed and  then coloured her image with markers. The Birthday wording is from Stampin' Up's Simply Sketched set - black embossed directly on to the pre-printed card.

I added Distress Stickles - Tea Dye to her hair for some sparkle.  I generally overlook my pearls and go straight to rhinestones - I love the look of the pearls on this card so I will have to remember to use pearls more often!

Enjoy your day!

Make It Crafty - Felicity Birthday Card

Good Morning,

Felicity is a 60s Fashion Girl from the Make It Crafty Stamp Set - she is bopping (and I say bopping because she's from the 60s) along to her favourite music - I can't help wondering which song she is listening to?

After I stamped and black embossed her image - I searched through my stash for the right card and this orange and lime green card seemed to suit her just perfectly!

I coloured her with markers (just a reminder these cards are quick and easy so no shading etc for the colouring) and then added kindyglitz to her hair, shorts, boots and beanie.

Multi coloured rhinestones and black embossed wording from Stampin' Up's set Great Friend finished the card.

Do you have a favourite song from the 60s?

The Greeting Farm - Miss Anya Birthday Card

Howdy,

Sounds like I need to tell you about a cowboy movie (after saying Howdy!) but no, This beautiful little girl is another image from The Greeting Farm's Miss Anya Hats Off Collection.

I stamped and black embossed her image and then quickly coloured her with markers.  I have added kindyglitz to her boots, t-shirt and cap.  I stamped and clear embossed Stampin' Up's Flourish from Baroque Motifs onto the pre-printed background card for a bit of detail.  I adhered black rhinestones and stamped and black embossed birthday wording from Stampin' Up's Simply Sketched Stamp set directly on to the card.

It is amazing how much of a difference it makes to a card by just rounding the corners - in this case I rounded three of the corners using my Corner Chomper - love this tool!

Back again tomorrow with another card for you!

The Greeting Farm - Miss Anya Birthday Card

How's things in your crafty world today?

I'm not sure if you can tell - The Greeting Farm's stamp collections are a favourite of mine! Not that you would have noticed - right??  Miss Anya - Hats Off collections has three gorgeous little girl images - this is one of them...

This cute little girl looks like she is up to some mischief - with her off the shoulder shirt, her stockinged legs and her angled cap!  I black embossed her image and then quickly coloured with markers and added Stickles Rock Candy to her shirt, boots and to the hearts on her cap.  The wording is from Stampin' Up's Great Friend set stamped and black embossed directly onto the pre-printed background card.  I added rhinestones to accentuate the doily pattern on the card and rhinestones in the top right hand corner which I have rounded with my Corner Chomper.

I hope she is not up to mischief and is behaving herself....
What do you think?

Good morning!  Hope you are having a great one!

Today's card features another Make It Crafty - 60s Fashion Girl image and her name is Crystal.

The background card for this one is very brightly coloured - so Crystal had to stand out with her dual coloured hair!  I added Kindyglitz to her hair as well for added sparkle.  Rhinestones in opposite corners for more sparkle! Bling, bling!

The wording is from Stampin' Up's Happiest Birthday Wishes - which is such a fantastic set - it includes stamps you can use for the insert of your card as well - remember if you are looking for Stampin' Up Supplies link through to BaRb's Stampin' Up Blog and you can order online!

Hi there,

Continuing my quick and easy birthday card makes - I have another card to show you...

This is Desiree - she is a Make It Crafty - 60s Fashion Girl - with those mini shorts and knee high boots - I just had to make those mini shorts (or should I say 'Hot Pants") gold and glittery!

I used a pre-printed background card and I stamped and black embossed the birthday wording from Stampin' Up's Wow Flowers set straight onto the card. I also stamped and clear embossed a row of flowers across the top (from an Inque Boutique stamp set) to which I added black rhinestones.

Her hair beads were accentuated with Liquid Pearls in Ivy Green and the gold I used on her headband and on her shorts is gold Kindyglitz.

Back tomorrow with another card to show you,
looking forward to seeing you!

The Greeting Farm - Birthday Card .....

Hello,

I have been creating quick and easy cards again - this time they are 'little girl' themed - I have a need for a stash of birthday cards for the ages around 'twelveteen' as my Husband would say....

Over the next few days I will show you the gorgeous cards I have made - each using a pre-printed card (see  - quick and easy) - I have a collection of pre-printed cards and thought these would be just perfect to use...

This beautiful little girl is from the Miss Anya Collection by The Greeting Farm. I stamped and black embossed her and quickly coloured with markers - no detail, no shading - (think - quick and easy...)

For a bit of detail on the card, I stamped a flourish with Versamark and clear embossed the image, I also stamped and black embossed the wording.  The flourish is from Stampin' Ups Baroque Motifs and the wording is from Stampin' Ups Happiest Birthday Wishes set.

I am sure any girl aged 'twelveteen' would just love this card,
I know I do!!

I created a Mini Album / Journal with these beautiful papers.  There is something about the colours - maybe it's the vintage feel?!?  If you wish to see the inside of the album and a list of the products and the papers I have used to create this album - please visit Wild About Scrap's Blog.

I am sure, if you have been following our blog, you will recognise that I have used Tim Holtz Dies again!!!  Tattered florals, Tattered leaves and Elegant Flourishes... Did I mention how much I love these dies!!

Creating with BaRb-Stampin'up-By the Seashore-Feel Better

By the Seashore-Feel Better
Hello
This card was created for our latest masking technique class

On to a white card base I first stamped the sand dollar image, using baked brown sugar ink, and also stamped on to a post it note. I cut out the second image just inside the line and placed it over the card image. I then did the same with the starfish image using coastal cabana ink, again cutting out and placing the second image over the card image. The coral from By the tide set was stamped in calypso coral ink over both the masked images. The masks were removed and the base around the images was coloured with watercolour pencil and carefully blended with an aquabrush, avoiding the stamping.
A strip of High tide paper is added down the left of the card along with a couple of candy dots.
The sentiment, from Sassy salutations, is stamped in brown sugar ink.

The card insert. The sentiment is from Express yourself set.
Thanks for visiting

Trees

Hi Everyone
While we are up here waiting to see what this cyclone sitting of our coast here is about to do, I thought I would share with you one of my latest cards
This card was extremely hard to photograph as the front panel is created using Shimmerz sheet which is very shiny and reflects everything. I have used a craft card base and matted the front with a paper from Fab scraps, on which I have punched the right edge. I threaded the punched design with twine and tied a button at the top. The front panel is embossed with a tree folder and sanded lightly back. The sentiment is by Stampscapes. This is then taped to black gloss card on which I heavily distressed the edges. Coloured rhinestones were added to some of the flower centres to finish off the design.

The insert was stamped with a sentiment from Stampin'ups Bloomin marvelous set and a tree from Lovely as a tree set.
I hope you have enjoyed this card.
Till next time

Tim Holtz Tattered Florals - Notebook

Hi,

I am back again with another notebook - embellished with Tattered Florals - can you remember the purple one I created last month? Now, I have a black Notebook to show you...

As you can see the Notebook is held closed with elastic - so I had to plan my embellishment to suit - flat enough to still be able to close without getting in the way of the elastic.

I have used Tim Holtz Bigz Dies - Tattered Florals and Elegant Flourishes.

The flowers have been stamped with script and all of the flourishes and flowers have been edge hi-lighted with my clear gel pen.

Instead of using rhinestones (wait - what do you mean no rhinestones???) - (Don't worry) I have used pearls -  in a couple of different sizes.  For a minute there I had you worried didn't I??! How can you create a project without bling?! Is that even possible?

I also have some red Notebooks to embellish (aren't you excited?) - look for those soon,

Journals

Hello Journal Lovers,

Surprise, surprise - I have done another page in my journal!  I must admit it has been quite a while, and I do miss it - so I will just have to create another page every now and then... Remind me.....

As I've mentioned to you in a previous post - I created a book full of background pages, then I used up all of my old Rub-ons randomly throughout the book.  Todays Rub-on reads - "Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and LEAVE A TRAIL" written by Ralph Waldo Emerson.

I created the background a while ago using acrylic paints and spritzing with water.  The verse and the flowers are some of the rub-ons I mentioned.  I added stickles and kindyglitz in various colours to the flowers to make them sparkle.

Underneath the verse, I stamped a path, which is a Stampscapes Stamp and added embossing powder for some texture.

Over the whole journal page I stamped tiny butterflies, ants and bees (things you find in the path of life).  I  doodled flowers and added Liquid Pearls for their centres.

Along the edges of the pages I added gold and purple metallic paint, which I've also added random spots all over the pages for added sheen.  Hope you like my Journal Page! Now, if I leave the book out.....

Are you Creating your own path today?
Or are you following someone else's?

Tim Holtz Tattered Florals - Card

Hello

Tim Holtz Tattered Florals is such a fantastic die - it seems to be my 'go to' die at the moment.  When creating my treasure chest with BaRb, I had die cut some 'extras' in case I needed them, and as I didn't use them on my Treasure Chest, I have created this beautiful card with them.

I have also used Tim Holtz Elegant Flourishes Die for the gorgeous flourishes tucked underneath.  I cut many layers of the smaller flowers from paper - the mesh type material was actually a layer used in wrapping from a bunch of flowers.  I spritzed the card with Perfect Pearls - gold mixed in a mini mister with water.  The white flowers and flourish is the patterned paper on the other side! - I had planned to use the pattern but felt it was too busy - so I flipped it over and used the white - this seemed to lift the other colours and make the gold sparkle more.

Enjoy the rest of your day

Creating with BaRb-Stampin'up-High Tide paper

High Tide paper
Hello
I recently bought the High tide paper. I did not realise  just how great it was.
The ship in the bottle was crying out to be a feature, so we have this Happy Birthday card.

The front of the white card base is embossed in the dots folder, the top right corner rounded and the edges lightly sponged with Indigo ink.
A piece of the waves paper was cut to fit the card front, cut in half diagonally, the edges distressed and sponged, and then added to the left side of the card; leaving the central section free.
A bottle was taped to card then cut out and tucked behind the paper using glue dots at the base and a dimensional at the top.
An itty bitty birthday banner was stamped in indigo and die cut, and matted with a marino mist banner. Linen thread was tied in a loop through the banner, around the paper and attached with dimensionals.
A clear stardust pen was used to highlight the bottle, the fish in the waves, and the banner.
Candy dots finish the design.

The Open sea and Wishes your way stamp sets were used for the insert.
This paper pack has loads of inspirational designs.
Be happy crafting
